Questions? We're happy to help.

Booking, coverage, first visits, and what to expect. If yours isn't here, call us or book an appointment and we'll walk you through it.

Booking & first visits

Are you accepting new patients?

Yes - we welcome new patients of every age, from a child's first checkup to adult exams and senior care. Booking your first visit takes about five minutes by phone or through our contact form.

What happens during a first visit?

We start with a conversation about your dental history and what brought you in, then a gentle exam, low-radiation X-rays if they're needed, and a clear plan. Nothing is rushed, and no treatment begins without your sign-off. Plan on about an hour.

How early should I arrive?

Please arrive about 15 minutes early for a first visit so you have time to complete any remaining paperwork, get comfortable, and ask questions before your exam.

What should I bring?

A government-issued photo ID, your insurance card (or your Canada Dental Care Plan letter), a list of any medications you take, and - if you have them - recent X-rays or records from a previous dentist.

Can you help with a same-day dental emergency?

Yes. If you're in pain or have had an accident, call (613) 656-1400. We keep urgent slots open every working day and will see you as soon as we can.

Insurance & the CDCP

Do you accept the Canada Dental Care Plan (CDCP)?

Yes - we accept the Canada Dental Care Plan. Bring your CDCP letter or member card and a photo ID to your first visit and we'll bill the program directly for covered services.

Do you accept private dental insurance?

We work with most major Canadian insurers and offer direct billing for most plans, so you only pay the portion your plan doesn't cover. Bring your insurance details and we'll verify your coverage and handle the paperwork.

What if my insurance doesn't cover the full cost?

You're responsible only for the portion your plan doesn't cover. We'll provide an estimate before treatment so there are no surprises.

Do you see patients without insurance?

Absolutely. We accept cash, debit, Interac e-Transfer, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, and we're happy to talk through payment options for larger treatments.

Treatment & comfort

I get anxious about the dentist. Can you help with that?

You're in good company - dental anxiety is common and we don't expect anyone to power through it. Tell us at the front desk and we'll adjust the visit around what makes you comfortable: pacing, breaks, the order of things. Just let us know when you call.

Do you treat children and seniors?

Every age. Families often book back-to-back appointments so the whole household visits at once - from a child's first tooth to denture adjustments and senior care.

How often should I come in for a checkup?

For most people, every six months. We may suggest a different interval depending on your gum health and history - we'll let you know what's right for you.

Is teeth whitening safe?

Professional whitening, done under a dentist's supervision, is a well-established treatment. We assess your teeth first, recommend in-office or take-home options, explain how to use them, and give you an honest sense of the results you can expect. Results vary from person to person.

Office & location

Where are you located?

We're at 25 Montréal Road in Vanier, Ottawa - easy to reach from Lowertown, Overbrook, and downtown, with free on-site parking and OC Transpo service along Montréal Road.

Is there parking? Is the office accessible?

Yes to both. Free parking is available on-site, and the office has a ground-floor, wheelchair-accessible entrance and accessible washrooms.

What are your hours?

Monday to Thursday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Closed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. If you need a same-day visit, call (613) 656-1400 and we'll do everything we can to fit you in.
